Welcome to By Minutes Illustration

When I first put a name to my business around seven years ago, By Minutes was the most appropriate title, as that’s when I worked. The stolen thirty minutes here and there in-between my then, baby daughter, having tiny naps. I literally worked by the minutes. Now however, I have hours, which I adore spending time working on illustrations and artwork inspired by nature, travel, food and memories.

Living in the Peak District, nature and scenery influences a lot of my work, because what a beautiful place it is to be inspired by. Sometimes I just need to get out for a walk in the open countryside, and I come home brimming with ideas that i’m itching to paint.

My favourite things to paint vary, but my love of birds and flowers are always somewhere near the top of the pile.

A glass of red wine, a green marker, and a black pen are on the table. Behind her, there is a colorful abstract painting on the wall.
